  1. Bring the sugar, water and the split vanilla bean to a boil.
  2. Cool.
  3. Store in the refrigerator.

How to make bourbon cherries

  1. Fill the canning jars ⅔ full with dried cherries.
  2. Don't over stuff the jars because the dried cherries will absorb the delicious liquids and expand.
  3. Fill the jars ¼ full with the vanilla simple syrup.
  4. Top off the jars with bourbon.
  5. Add the lid and ring.
  6. Allow them to sit over night.
  7. The longer they sit the more delicious they become!
  8. Print out the free printable, and affix the tag to the top of the jar.
  9. Give as a gift.
