We encourage you to purchase your permit online in the ODU Parking Portal. You can also buy one at the Transportation and Parking Services (TPS) Office at 4310 Elkhorn Ave (attached to the 43rd & Elkhorn Garage). ODU has a virtual permit system that uses License Plate Recognition to enforce permit usage.
Where to park for free at ODU? ›
University visitors and regular game attendees can park at no cost in:
- Upper levels of Constant Center 43rd Street Parking Garage.
- Upper levels of Constant Center 45th Street Parking Garage.
You can now pay and appeal citations online via the ODU Parking Portal. If your vehicle has been immobilized or towed, see 'Booting & Towing' section below for more details. Old Dominion University and/or Transportation and Parking Services is not responsible for any damage that occurs to a vehicle while on campus.
How do I pay for hourly parking at ODU? ›
Hourly Parking
Payment MUST be made immediately upon parking your vehicle either via MobilePay or at the pay station located in Visitor Lot 7 which accepts credit card & cash payment. Permits are NOT valid in Hourly Parking locations. Please note that Hourly Parking is NON-REFUNDABLE.

Incoming Freshmen Resident students are allowed to park their cars on campus after purchasing a valid ODU parking permit. Resident Student parking locations are enforced 24 hours per day, seven days per week, year-round for permits. Only one vehicle can be registered to a residential permit at any time.
